This is hard to watch. A Chicago reporter almost takes out a pedestrian and then crashes a beautiful Vespa Motor Scooter. Scooters can be powerful. Someone should have told her.

For anyone who has had their scooter stolen, you know the pain and anger that come with it. So if you ever have your scooter stolen you can register it at scoot.net: stolen scooter registry. If you run across a used scooter for sale and want to check out if it is “hot” or not, this is a good place to go to first.

There is something cool about the HONDA RUCKUS SCOOTER. Maybe it’s the wide handlebars and it being all black with red outline. Click on the link to see more photos.

The Scooter Swag has a great link to find scooters in movies. If you’ve never been to their blog, it’s really good. Lots of posts on scooter accessories and such.

Honda has a nice feature where you build your own scooter. You see this mostly with the major auto sites, so it’s nice to see that Honda brought to scooters. You can pick your model with colors and accessories. It’s fun to do. I built a custom Honda Ruckus. Cool.

It turns out that, according to the Editors Weblog, that the Motorscooter ranks one of the top tools for online journalists this year. Along with fancy things like GPS systems, the motorscooter can give a leg up to the competition by getting you to the scene fast then say a bike or an automobile.

My next few posts are going to be about my favorite scooter companies. First up is Genuine Scooter Company, maker of the Stella, Buddy and Black Cat. With a name like Genuine Scooter, you better make a helluva scooter, and boy do they. Their scooters are classy, cool looking and fun to ride. And they are very well made.
Based out of Chicago, they offer unique two wheeled transportation to a population of commuters that are in need of cheap transportation, in the days of gas guzzling SUVs running on $3.00 a gallon gas. Their scooters get around 80 mpg. How’s that for fuel efficiency? They and their sister company Scooterworks USA, have been selling scooters in the US for nearly 20 years. They state on their website that they “strive to keep our customers and dealers happy, and offer the best warranty and service coverage in the business.” If you are ever in the windy city stop by and see them, they’ll appreciate it.

I stopped by Starbucks the other day to grab a quick coffee, and browsed the coffee while I waited for it. Somehow I never noticed the packaging for the Italian Roast before. I know it’s been around for awhile, but catch up is the funnest game.
